Research interests

Lines of inquiry.

Research interest

Security modeling & connected risk

How can a system-level view improve the quality of security decisions?

Research interests include architecture analysis, threat modeling, attack simulation, attack emulation and the connections between technical findings and risk decisions.

Research interest

AI-assisted security & human judgment

Where can automation help, and where must judgment remain human?

Exploring AI-assisted assessment, the boundaries of intelligent systems, traceable findings and the role of human oversight in making security decisions.

Research interest

Cyberwarfare & national preparedness

What does readiness look like before a cyber crisis?

An ongoing research interest in cyberwarfare, national preparedness and a Selective Service concept for cyber capability. This is exploratory work, not a submitted dissertation or government program.

My cyber selective service concept examines how a country could develop and mobilize cyber expertise for national readiness. The comparative inquiry considers approaches in Israel, China, Russia and North Korea as a starting point for questions about a U.S. model.

Research interest

Cyber resilience & institutional capacity

How can security research serve institutions with different realities?

Interests include the United States and Cameroon, critical infrastructure, governance and the relationship between technical capability and institutional resilience.

Research interest

Law, governance & emerging technology

How should responsibilities evolve as technologies change?

Examining the intersection of legal thinking, organizational decisions, technological change and the people affected by those decisions.

Research interest

Religion, knowledge & artificial intelligence

How might AI change the way people study, interpret and share knowledge?

A broader intellectual interest in religion and AI, including language, interpretation, source comparison and the human context around knowledge.

Research interest

Intelligence & national security

How does intelligence inform strategic decisions under uncertainty?

An academic line of inquiry informed by my studies in security, intelligence and diplomacy: the relationship between intelligence, national security, institutions and strategic judgment.

Research interest

Botnets & cyber threats in Africa

How can botnet activity in African contexts be better understood?

A research interest in botnets affecting African digital environments, with questions about threat visibility, local context and defensive capacity.

Research interest

Multilingual threat intelligence

How can language gaps obscure emerging cyber threats?

Exploring multilingual threat intelligence, under-indexed and low-resource regional languages, and the interpretation of regional research and security reporting. Particular interest in African contexts, behavioral forecasting and gaps in threat visibility.
